Engineering and construction firm Larsen & Toubro can build nuclear power plants with total capacity of 3,000 to 4,000 MW per year.
"To build four to six reactors is not a problem," A.M. Naik - Chairman - told a news conference. "I don't think there is a chance to do more than 2,000 MW (domestically) because the country's not yet ready in a big way."
The company has invested $500 million in its nuclear business.
