The government of Pakistan is preparing to award the US$2.2. billion dollar Kohala 1100MW Hydropower project to CWE of China without international competitive bidding. Ironically Pakistan has blocked award of Mahl Hydro project – US$800million -  to Korean companies on the same river in the same region.
