WIND: Africa wind beckons…

The African region witnessed good economic growth in the recent years. There is demand for electric power. The demand for electricity has favored a number of renewable energy projects in the continent.

Morocco has declared its intentions to install 2,000 MW wind power by 2020. Recently, King Mohammed VI opened a wind farm Africa with an investment of €250 million near Tangiers.

Kenya reopened its largest Lake Turkana Wind Power Project to generate 300 MW.
