HYDRO: New Software determine Flow Dynamics

FLOW-3D is a highly-accurate computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software package that provides engineers valuable insight into a wide range of transient fluid flow processes. With state-of-the-art capabilities for modeling free-surface flows, FLOW-3D is the ideal tool for research, design and optimization.

FLOW-3D'S UNIQUE CAPABILITIES

User-Friendly Interface

The FLOW-3D user interface is very intuitive and has four major categories: Model Setup, Simulate, Analyze and Display.

  1. Model Setup is where a simulation is defined. Under this tab is a series of panels that constitute the model builder. These panels are categorized as to each specific aspect of configuration needed to properly define a model.
  2. Simulate is where the simulation is monitored at runtime. Many important quantities are graphed to provide information on the efficiency of the simulation.
  3. Analyze is for post processing results. This is where the user determines whether to plot 1-D, 2-D, 3-D or text data.
  4. Display is where results are rendered.
