POWER: Gammon Get Thermal Project Order

 

Gammon India group companies Ansaldo Caldaie Boiler and Franco Tosi today have received an order to supply power equipment for the 300 MW Nagapattnam project of KVK Energy. The scope includes designing, manufacturing, supplying, erecting and supervising of boiler turbine generator (BTG) package of first unit of 2X150 MW thermal power project of KVK Energy & Infrastructure Limited.
The steam turbine and boiler will be designed and manufactured by FrancoTosi and Ansaldo. Balance work of BTG package will be undertaken by Gammon EPC Power Division in India.
Gammon India took over majority stakes in Ansaldo Caldaie and Franco Tosi Meccanica, Italy in 2008 and is setting up Indian subsidiaries to meet growing demand in the Indian power sector.
Gammon India has the capability to support over 70 per cent input requirement from its own internal resources both in thermal and hydro sector respectively.
