It is reported that the Nathpa Jhakri hydroelectric project of the SJVNL in Himachal Pradesh has earned an incentive from the Central Electricity Authority for maintaining higher efficiency levels in 2009-10.
The incentive is for sustaining a high PLF, unscheduled interchange and for generation over and above the installed capacity. The plant's design capacity is 6612 million units and over 60% of generation takes place in June, July and August.
