Bhutan and India have recently signed 7 MoUs in the power sector. Bhutan Power Corporation (BPC) sources said. The agreements includes preparation of detailed project reports for Amochhu (620 MW), Kuvi-Gongi (1800 MW), Kholongchhu (486 MW) and Chamkarchu-I (670 MW) projects. In addition, an agreement has also been signed for setting up a master plan for a national transmission grid in Bhutan.
All feasible projects will be Financed and built by India.
