Nearly three times growth in India’s exports to Latin American in the last four years has been recorded.
India's exports to the Latin America region increased from USD 2.16 billion in 2004-05 to USD 6.01 billion in 2008-2009, registering a growth of about 178%.

With a view to enhancing our exports to Latin America  process for expansion of the existing India-Chile Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) and India-MERCOSUR (trade bloc of Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay) Trade Agreement have been started.
