China orders Wind Turbines on INDIAN company!!!

Indian wind turbine manufacturer Suzlon Energy Limited has received an order for 48.75 MW from Chinese power producer Datang Power Generation Co. The contract is for 39 sets of S.64-1.25 MW turbines.

Datang Power previously ordered 68 Suzlon turbines for the Zhuozi Phase I Project in Inner Mongolia and the Liu`ao Project in Fujian Province.

The new turbines are being supplied as an extension of the Zhuozi wind farm project. With this order, Suzlon's total supply portfolio to Datang Power will be increased to 133.75 MW of which 85 MW capacity are already operational.

The turbines under the new order are expected to be delivered and commissioned by the third quarter of the 2009 to 2010 financial year.
