Tianjin centre of wind component development

Apparently the Tianjin Wind Energy Association says at least 50 companies are manufacturing wind power-generating equipment and key components. Big local and international companies have invested in Binhai area. In 2005, Vestas invested to establish a factory in Tianjin. Over five occasions, the company has invested a total of 363 million USD, making its Tianjin factory an important base. Meanwhile, Spainish company Gamesa and Indian Suzlon Energy, the world's second and fifth largest wind power equipment manufacturers respectively, have also invested in Tianjin.
