Alstom has bagged a contract worth US Dollar 420million in consortium with Hindustan Construction Company ( HCC ) from Tehri Hydro Development Corporation ( THDC ) to construct a 1,000 MW hydro power plant in Uttarakhand.(former name Uttaranchal)
It will install 4x250MW variable speed pump turbines
